I do want to be clear on our disagreement today. In my opinion, you were very nasty to Faith when she came with me this morning. I couldn't believe that you would shun a child, my child (no matter girl or boy) like you did. Ask yourself this-if Evan were a girl instead of a boy, would you leave her home with Bob when all the boys were going to this fishing trip even if she wanted to be a part of it too? Imagine if I treated your little girl like you did mine if you decided to bring her with you and I said what you did to me- to you.
We can agree on something here. If I did treat your girl like that you would not have argued with me about it like I did you. You would've had a quieter approach to getting your feelings across than what I am able to do. I do want to apologize for raising my voice. I do want to be so above that like you, but am sometimes unable to conform. We have different views and maybe I don't know how to express it, but I accept that you parent different than I do and in the end we both love our children. Just like you can't take Faith talking disrespectful to you, I can't take the crying from all of your children every ten minutes whenever they can't do something for themselves. So you nurture your children and I teach mine to nurture themselves,that is a difference in our parenting. I am proud of your son Bobby for graduating, and I commend you for being a better parent than the majority out there for helping him to find the discipline and strength to go to the end. I don't question that your parenting will lead to your childrens success. Just don't put your views on me about whether or not my son needs quality time with me. And most of all, please don't question whether my son will be successful in the end because of the way that I parent him. My parenting style is not wrong, it's just different than yours. Maybe I have all this wrong, but I feel very sure of why you and I can't seem to see eye to eye about things. And that is in my opinion because you put your views on me and I don't know how to keep my mouth shut. Lesson learned here
